The heart behind starting Be A Blessing Sourdough came from a very simple place: wanting to help the people I love & care about.

Over the years, I’ve had so many people come to me asking for help with sourdough. At the same time, as I shared about my passion for fitness & health, people would often tell me, “You should be writing books.” The same thing happened when it came to my faith & my past as a missionary — encouraging others, discipling, & walking alongside people in their journeys.

At some point, it all clicked.

I realized I didn’t have to choose just one of these passions. I could create a space where all of them lived together — a place where I could share what I’ve learned & hopefully be a blessing to others along the way.

That’s how Be A Blessing Sourdough was born.

This space is also an invitation. If you feel called to it, I’d love for you to journey with me — walking this road together, one grace-filled step at a time.

Why I Created BABS

BABS isn’t about perfection, trends, or doing more.

It’s about slowing down.

It’s about intention.

It’s about honoring God in the everyday rhythms of life — in our kitchens, in our bodies, & in our faith.

To keep things simple & focused, I broke BABS into three core components.

Bread with Purpose

Bread with Purpose is all about returning to the way bread was originally made — the way God designed our bodies to receive it.

In the Bible, leavened bread — bread that rose — was sourdough. There was no commercial yeast. Sourdough was the original method, rooted in patience, fermentation, & nourishment.

I have a deep passion for teaching others how to make sourdough at home so they can return to the roots of bread-making. My heart is to help people feel confident baking real, nourishing bread in their own kitchens — bread that supports the body rather than working against it.

Sourdough is slow. It’s intentional. It teaches patience. And in so many ways, it mirrors the faith-filled life we’re invited to live.

Built to Endure

The second pillar of BABS is Built to Endure, which focuses on health & wellness.

This includes fitness — especially strength training — because muscle truly is our health & vitality as we age. It’s also about nourishing food, healthy recipes, & clean products that support aging well & feeling strong.

Wellness isn’t about extremes. It’s about sustainability. It’s about caring for the body God gave us so we can continue to show up fully for our families, our callings, & the work He’s placed in front of us.

Blessed to Rise

The final piece of BABS is Blessed to Rise, which centers on faith.

This is about growing in grace, being intentional in daily life, & learning to slow down in a world that constantly pushes us to hurry.

If you’re anything like me, life can feel overwhelming. Over the last six months, my life has changed dramatically. I’ve moved, gotten married, & gained a husband & three stepsons — all incredible blessings — but it’s also been a complete whirlwind.

Through it all, I’ve been reminded that God meets us in the ordinary moments. Not when everything is perfect, but when we pause, breathe, & invite Him into our daily routines.

This space is about letting go of perfection.

It’s about finding grace in everyday life.

It’s about connecting with God daily & walking this journey together.

Would You Journey With Me?

My heart is to encourage you — & I truly believe this journey is one where we encourage each other.

If any of these areas speak to you — sourdough, wellness, fitness, or faith — I would love for you to join me. Follow along here on the blog, on YouTube, on Instagram, & sign up for email updates so we can stay connected.

Above all else, my desire is simple:

to be a blessing.

I’m so grateful you’re here, & I hope this space blesses you in this season 🤍
